Are you sure you're running the version compiled in debug

mode ? If you have this line, you should get the debugging

info. You're the first person to report such a failure.



The patch changes some locking related functions. Apparently

nssdb used to use libc proprietary locking functions. The

patch makes it use pthreads locking functions. But nss-mysql

has always used those ...

I`m sorry, the line you mentioned is already in the default syslog.conf. 

I've rebootet, but I don't get any logs :-(. Other logs work without 

problems (like ssh-logins in auth.log). 

I saw that nss-db is also broken when used with glibc-2.3, but there is 

a patch available at 

http://lists.debian.org/debian-glibc/2002/debian-glibc-200210/msg00480.html 

Maybe it can helb you.
