I couldn't reproduce the issue (not with no shell field, neither an empty one,
neither with /bin/false nor /sbin/nologin) and hence close it. If you can
reproduce it again, don't hesitate to create a new issue at
https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/issues.
