Think about it -- we could social-enable every website by just
encouraging people to embed a GIF and maybe a few lines of JS in the pages.

Have it talk to daisycha.in as a social-redirector (CGI script?) and
then forward the request to which instance you're running?
Intruiging idea. It sounds like something that could work.
Could you expand in a little more detail. Would the GIF (or PNG :)) send a cookie-like object?
Is the .js to create something of a 'social toolbar' style object?
Where is the relationship data stored?
