There are good odds that Taler should work with FireFox itself by the
fall, given that 48 should be released in August, while 49 should be
released in September.  Right now, 48 is in beta and 49 is in alpha.

FireFox ESR will take longer, and Tor Browser, IceWeasel, and IceCat are
all based on FireFox ESR.  ESR means extended support release, I
think.  

I'd wager FireFox ESR should support WebExtensions by spring 2017 since
their past-releases show ESR updates being less than 12 months apart.
