Hello GNU Taler Mailing List,

I was reviewing documentation on GNU Taler from the following reference:

HAL Id: tel-02138082

https://tel.archives-ouvertes.fr/tel-02138082

I am confused as to why the GNU Taler developers chose to use RSA blind
signatures over--say--using

EDDSA signatures.

What comparative advantage would RSA-blind FDH signatures have over modern
elliptic-curve

based signatures such as Ed25519 for the purposes of GNU Taler.

I thank anyone for any responses sent back to me.

Sincerely,

Tanveer Salim

P.S. You can find my PGP public key, and all other keys in my Web of Trust
