I forsee Checking for Fortran compiler...  etc..
Please, don't. Why not fix the current configure? Or you could take ffmpeg's 
configure and strip it to what's needed for tcc.

That's all IMHO ofcourse. If Rob Landley wants to apply an auto* configure 
to his tree, feel free to go ahead :)
