[Traverso-devel] Problem importing files

Hi everyone,

I still have problems importing audio clips with the CVS version. I just can't 
beliefe that nobody else has the same problem because it happens on Kubuntu 
(notebook), OS X (notebook), and PCLinuxOS (desktop) here, always with the 
same error message (see below). Recording works, but playing back the 
recorded files doesn't. It doesn't crash, it just refuses to import or play 
back the recorded files (import tested with wave 44100/16 stereo, mp3, and 
ogg). I did cleancompiles, remove old versions, run ldconfig, remove 
Traverso.ini, etc... now I'm really running out of ideas.

On Kubuntu I'm using official packages of all libraries:

Can anyone at least point me to a place where I can start tracking down the 
problem? I'm not at all familiar with the low level routines for reading 
files from HD.

I know you are all busy with other things, but it really pisses me off that I 
can't use all the great new stuff you guys have been adding lately.
