Offering Scroogle even after the problems it has had lately with
accessing Google? Seems like you may put your users in a bind if
Scroogle were to have issues again...

I think you're unnecessarily endangering your users for no reason at
all. Why is Google so harmful in this case? Firefox does a pretty good
job at protecting its users' data so Google doesn't know exactly what
URL the user is visiting. You need to weigh the pros and cons here. I
personally feel that having working anti-phishing/anti-malware support
is a core part of Firefox's mission to keep users secure. If you turn
that off, you're putting users at risk.
