Shift level 3 not working in text input fields (IceCat 3.6.13)

Hi!

I use IceCat 3.6.13 in openSUSE 11.3 / KDE 4.4.4 (release 2). I have
set the left Win key as the shift level 3 modifier (the physical
keyboard is Microsoft Natural Multimedia 1.0A) via system settings,
but it does not work in text input fields in IceCat while working in
other applications (such as konsole, OpenOffice.org, Krusader, gedit,
mousepad, jEdit, Gimp). I am puzzled and would appreciate any hint as
to this problem.
