Hi Marcu

Could we take you up on the offer? Could you send him a copy of the chemistry book as is and
I will send him a new copy when its finished.

Cheers,

Mark

So we really can make a difference ... see forwarded message :)

Has anyone responded and or sent a copy to this person? If not I am
willing to make a one off charitable donation from here!

Ignoring requests like this would be very bad publicity for the
project. But also sending books to many people is not really a viable
option either! Do we (FHSST) have a position on this?

A possible solution might be:

The project has been set up as an official charity in South Africa
right? Has this been finalised? You will need money and will probably
have a bank account!

From the web site we could ask for charitable donations: bank details
displayed, PAYPAL account, etc

Some of this money could be ear marked for cases like above, which get
dealt with by another web page. People could add their email addresses
to it, we then contact them for their postal details as the money is
available. First person on the list gets the first copy, second person
gets second copy, ...

But we clearly need to state that we do not have much funds and that
it could take a long time to arrive!

Do I remember talk of a publisher somewhere on these lists? Or is that
a figment of my very tired mind? This email could be regarded as
random musings and thinkings after a very hard and long day. Excuse
them if they are not appropriate! But these thoughts should be
considered at some point in the future if we (FHSST) are to become
serious about getting access to as wide and audience for our books as
possible!
