Hi everyone
I have done an u-turn in "policy". For a while I said that we wouldn't
start any other books until at least one was finished. I still think
that the conservative approach is a good one but in the last 5 days
we've had 6 new volunteers - 1 Chem, 2 Maths, 2 Biology and 1 Editor.
This brought the total number of parties interested in Biology to 5 and
so I've tried to get things started. There is fhsst-bio mailing list
with all 5 members subscribed. The really great news is, unlike our
other books, we actually have 3 active teachers as volunteers :)
The first step is for them to agree on an outline and some guidelines.
Then we can start recruiting further contributors.
I haven't had time to put any info up on the webpage about it yet but
the volunteer form does have Biology as an option. It'll be a little
while before we actually have a book to put on the webpage but I am very
happy that the life sciences are now part of FHSST.
Cheers,
Mark
