Well, i don't run a real gnome-session and anyway, i like to
know how it works even without gconf.
_____________sh:
/home mi: xmodmap -pke | grep F12
keycode 96 = F12 XF86_Switch_VT_12
/home mi: xmodmap -e "keycode 96 = Menu XF86_Switch_VT_12"
_____________:sh
As for gnome, I looked up
~/.gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/layout/%gconf.xml
and found they use the ~/.gkb_default.xmm,
so it should be possible just to hack that file, for definitions
not available in controlcenter.
By the way nice to discover a help menu entry 'keyboard shortcuts' :)
Unfortunately it's still looking up
${datarootdir}/gnome-commander/gnome/help/gnome-commander and
/usr/share/gnome/help/gnome-commander without luck.
