the single purpose of this thread was to invite the guix folks into this conversation - one of them appears to have made some significant progress toward liberating chromium (for whatever thats worth) - i would like to give them the opportunity to present the results with this list for discussion; but they have not done that yet this has been discussed on this and other lists ad nauseum for years - we have heard all of the standard arguments and counter-arguments already - the situation regarding chromium is well known on this list - nothing in this thread yet today has been novel or interesting - the situation is exactly the same as it was about one year ago when pureos was the only FSDG distro still carrying chromium - this time though, the guix devs actually may have some interesting news to report
