Is this doable?

Hi All

Is it possible to create a shaded
box/background to a paragraph AND
have that shaded box/background
break across the page? In TeX
this is next to impossible. Although
Microsoft Word can do this; FrameMaker
can't because it would require breaking
a table in the middle of a row -- which Frame
won't do. 

Any solutions read with interest -- custom
PostScript, C patches etc ;-).
