composite character |

Hello,
I would like to write the imacron with
Lout. I read [& re-read] the expert manual
to find the best way to overstrike the
dotlessi and the macron, but in the end
decided to create a composite in the AFM.
I added the following lines into the
correct locations of the AFM file:
C -1 ; WX 280 ; N imacron ; B 34 0 299 737 ;
StartComposites 1
CC imacron 2 ; PCC dotlessi 0 0 ; PCC macron -27 0 ;
EndComposites
... and the following to the LCM file:
031 037 imacron
I called it within lout using:
@Char{imacron} and {"\037"}
Now, it appears that Lout leaves the correct
space for the character but that it is not
displayed.
Has anyone come across this problem?
Thanks,
Arthur
