Thanks.  I had checked in at ifn.ing.tu-bs.de this morning before getting
your message.  I did note some patches to SOCKETSHR, one of which I've tried
to no avail.  I'll pursue that some more, though.  I'm wondering if the real
problem might be VAXC.
