LYNX-DEV crawl-traversal mode under lynx

I wanted to run lynx with the crawl and traverse option in the background
(on unix systems) but the program stops with a message "... (stopped tty
output) ..." and then I have to bring it back into the foreground (fg) for
it to continue.

Is there any option to let it run in the background without interruptions,
because I wanted to run it as a cron job, and not have to be logged on
myself.
