LYNX-DEV Proxy with Lynx under Unix

Hi!
I was told I could refer to you a question about Lynx.

I'm working under the Unix OS. I'm using Lynx for browsing HTTP
files. The question is this: Can I work through a particular Proxy
server with Lynx in order to improve the speed and the performance
of my "netting"?

I'd appreciate if you could tell me specifically how I do it,
in detail, since I'm not that familiar with Unix and with Lynx also.
