See the example mailcap file that comes with Lynx.  Read the comments
there about testing for $LYNX_VERSION.  That should tell you how to tell
Lynx to ignore an entry.

Newer versions of Lynx automatically ignore entries for text/html and
text/plain in mailcap files.
