If the trace log function has been compiled in, all you need
to do is press ^T ( [CTRL]+"t" ) to start writing the trace output
to a file in your home directory (do this before you hit return on
the link or enter the URL at the g)oto prompt).  If it hasn't been
compiled in, you'll have to use the command line option, "-tlog".

But if you are not a particularly experienced user of lynx,
you may want to toggle between the two types of document parsing,
one of which is more "forgiving" than the other of bad HTML.
(Of course do the toggle BEFORE you try to access the chatline.)
To quote from an expert:

        "Meanwhile, try the TagSoup parsing mode (^V)."
