I don't understand the problem. I'm using LYNX 2.5                             
which DOESN'T HANDLE COOKIES AT ALL and have just                              
read several pages of the NYT.                                                 
                                                                               
I didn't observe any change in its behavior: as always, 
once I entered my name and password it remembered them 
and automatically re-checked my info at each page that 
I wanted to read.  
                                                                               
If you still have the problem please write again                               
and give specific details about at what point of the 
NYT you tried to login and which was the error message 
displayed by Lynx.
