Those interested in other text-mode web browsers may be interested in
Emacs-W3 (a.k.a. GNUscape Navigator,) available from
http://www.cs.indiana.edu/elisp/w3/docs.html
It is written in emacs-lisp and is *very* portable, since it will run
anywhere you have reasonably a recent version of emacs (including 16-bit
Windows [Using the Pearl Win-Emacs port of Lucid Emacs with the shareware
Pearl windowing extender and Win32s], MacOS, DOS, Windows 95/NT, and every
flavor of UNIX I've tried it on.)
It includes a decent SGML parser and a Lynx keybinding mode, among other
features.
Oh yes, it's also just as "free" as Lynx...
