To see cyrillic with Lynx you should do two things:
1. install cyrillic font outside of Lynx.
2. inside Lynx go to O)ptions Menu and confirm "display character set" name
as koi8 or any other font you _actually_ have installed and active.
Also note, it is prefferable to use Lynx version >15 Jan 1998
to see cyrillics (v2.7.2+bugfixes and v2.8 both OK).
