I disagree. Scott does MUCH more than just provide a "central repository".
What is really needed are volunteers willing to maintain up-to-date mirrors.

People in Europe, do you know about:
ftp://ftp.vse.cz/pub/network/lynx-dev/current/
It is seldom more than a day or two behind slcc.edu.
Perhaps Jim will have the time some day to provide links to various
mirrors around the world on the current/ page at slcc.edu.
