i've compiled 2-8-2dev.17 + the 3 patches by LE & found a strange bug:
n+g n-g work generally, incl pop-ups & TEXTAREAS;
n+p n-p work on 2 sample documents (below);
n+p n-p don't work on 1 sample document (below).
the problem arises at Washington Post, eg (worth reading anyway):
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/WPcap/1999-02/28/031r-022899-idx.html
where eg on page 3 entering 5+p calls up page 6
& 2+p gets "already on page 3", ie n+p = n+1 ; ditto n-p .
there's a slightly different error if you try it on page 14 (eg),
where all n+p seem to take you to page 16.
WP stories are good for testing, as they have links at beginning/end,
but none for many pages in between (lots of good stories too).
in contrast, everything seems ok at Toronto Star (try stories):
http://www.thestar.com/thestar/editorial/updates/news/index.html
or Environment Canada's current on-line survey, with forms'n'stuff:
http://www.ec.gc.ca/survey.html .
finally, having tried it out, i'ld find it easier on intuition & fingers
with syntax 5g+ & 5g- , rather than 5+g & 5-g (ditto p )?
i leave investigation & rectification to LE, who's the expert on this code,
& repeat my thanks & congratulations for getting it added.
