When it says "(y)", yes is the default and return means "y".
When it says "(n)", no is the default and return means "n".
When it says "(y/n)", there is no default.
In general, at least. I don't know whether there are exceptions
in some specific prompts, but they would be few.
Square brackets or round parentheses - well it was changed from
"[Y]" etc. to "(y)" etc. a while ago. I don't know why.
