Besides identifying as one of the strange characters the backwards question
mark, I see, all too frequently, pages generated on Windows and Mac systems
having non-displaying characters for quotation marks, dashes, single quotes,
etc. A sentence like
She said, "Stop that-don't you say to me 'I didn't know anything about
that!'".
can end up looking quite weird when the non-standard characters are used.,,.,.
She said, Stop thatdont you say to me I didn't know anything about
that!.
