The patches frequently state OS/2 - so no, dependencies on Unix software
or Windows software is unlikely to be the options.

In the cases where the code is supporting OS/2 functionality, I suspect
that the creator is using appropriate ifdefs so that it doesn't add
to lynx's code.

The history of lynx is that people add to lynx what _they_ need. There is
no development team working with a specific set of goals, agenda, etc.
T. Dickey does a yeoman's job coordinating the collaberative community
contributions. However, unless one or more people are stepping forward
to volunteer to do all C code development, then it's my opinion that
those who ARE contributing bug fixes and enhancements be given the right
to do so.

I am against seeing a thousand different lynx-like spin offs, each one of
which having a variety of unique features and bug fixes. I know I would
rather have the current situation where by appropriate use of compile and
runtime option selections I can vary lynx's behavior.
