For me, it's more of an 'if it's going to happen'; personally I'm perfectly 
happy with venge.net/monotone or mtn.venge.net if having a hostname is really
important.  I don't think monotone.ca/net/whatever makes monotone any easier to
find or more official/grown up.  A quick google of cvs reveals that cvs is on 
nongnu.org and while a subproject (wincvs) has it's own domain name, cvs 
itself does not.
