Especially annoying when this breaks automated tests. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is, and is there a solution or workaround ?
There are two problems:- As it seems to me, we are not calling lua hooks in case file attributes should be cleared on update. - We don't have lua code (that could be called from such a hook) to clear the execute permission bit, we only have code to set it.
The second problem is easy to solve, and in fact I have already code for that, but currently I don't have time to look at the first issue, will come back to that after christmas.
For now, I've added an xfailing test.
AFAIK the Pidgin guys where able to reproduce this issue and even found a workaround.
Would be nice to see how they did that. - Thomas
