Follow-up Comment #12, bug #55724 (project octave): ok that makes sense. When I tried, i had disabled system-xlibs. >From comment #9, I am pretty sure you are right. We could pass the old PKG_CONFIG_PATH value to pkg config as well as the mxe paths if compiling native.
