A question about the above combination....

I believe the IC725 (and possibly other Icom rigs) broadcasts on the CI-V interface frequency and mode info the moment the radio is tuned.

This seems to cause bus collisions and time-outs with applications like Xlog and TLF, which poll the radio at regular intervals.

Maybe the best approach is, for Xlog/TLF to have a setting somewhere that turns off polling, relying on rig broadcasts to keep QRG and rig mode info up-to-date?

Hi Wilbert,

Maybe we could think of some other (and maybe easier) solution.
Is there a way to turn rig broadcasts off on your IC725?

Maybe this is described in the manual somewhere?

Currently, I don't see a good solution for this from the xlog
side. I somehow have to rely on the hamlib libraries and cannot
possibly accomodate for all the different rig specs.
However, we could add rig settings to xlog, e.g. on startup,
xlog will put the rig in a known state and we go from there.

Any thoughts?

BTW. ZL7C card is on the wall here, thanks!
