I would like to stay away from any gnome dependencies if we don't really
need it, libgnomeprint2.2 was introduced to xlog being a helpful
printing API, but it will be removed in some future xlog version because
the latest GTK+ now supports printing.

I have checked docbook in the past. At that time the output did not look
very nice, but this might have changed. Anyway, html docs generated from
a tex file will do for me, the output looks good and can be viewed with
any web browser.
