Franck,

Even with all the software versions listed in README-cvs, I can't get
a2ps to build. However, the function I modified hasn't been changed
enough between 4.13b and 4.49 to affect my patch's behavior. So without 
being able to test 4.49, I believe the patch I'm sending now will
function properly. I also removed my changes to pathwalk.c, in order to
make the minimum amount of change. I hate to send a patch I can't test,
but I'm pretty confident it will work correctly.
