[Advocate Play Ogg] The trouble with Ogg: jukeboxes, car stereos etc

I am a fan of ogg and I want to support the format.
I have the VLC player on my machines and my wifes
jukebox does support the ogg format. However, my jukebox
does not support the format and neither does the player
in our car. Also the DVD players in our front room and our
film room do not play ogg. So apart from our computers
we only have one device capable of understanding
the format.

What can be done to get more devices to support the format?
Eventually we got the point where several (but not all)
modern DVD players understand formats such as MPG and AVI.
This took a long time and support is still patchy even now.
What can be done to make manufacturers aware of ogg?
