SuSE ships AUCTeX within the (base) xemacs and xemacs-info packages
(probably this more or less corresponds to Sumo).

SuSE 8.2:

AUCTeX files (from xemacs-21.4.12 and xemacs-info-21.4.12):

Directories named "site-packages":

I can check the layout for SuSE 9.2 later (I'd guess it is the same).

BTW, this information can be found in the files ARCHIVES.gz for each
SuSE version (IIRC in the base directory: .../8.2/ARCHIVES.gz)
available on public ftp.
