Yep, this is the plan. And indeed I'd prefer that we use the snippets
which is used in the other .sh scripts (autoconf.sh etc.).
And in the future, when autom4 or whatever the name, is set up, the
macros used to sanitize configure's environment should be used.
But using either the std LC_* snippet or just what Pavel proposes is
OK with me.
