Really I was just asking a syntactical question. But I looked around
at some of my own Perl code that uses the object system, and I think I
answered my own question. Basically I wanted to know if the 82- patch
and other Language patches were evolutionarily forward steps or steps
into a dead end. And now I think they are the former.
So this patch is ok.
