Well, no fixed date, but it's my intention to roll the next release
within a few day's time. I did a massive sweep over the bug database
during the last couple of days, and also intend to look at some of the
patches, but I feel it's high time to roll a new release then. After
all, AVRDUDE 5.10 is about 1.5 years old now.

Alas, most of the patches in the patch trackers lack documentation
(patches). I guess some people simply don't realize the amount of time
it takes to add all the documentation for the new features submitted.
In 80 % of the cases, having a submitted patch not included in a
release is due to them not being documented, and the maintainer
eventually running out of time (and motivation) in adding all that
documentation a posteriori.

No argument, agreed.
