I took a quick look at Noah Friedman's vcard.el.  I believe this is
supposed to work with some older vcard format (rfc2426) instead of the
more recent rfc6350 that bbdb-snarf-vcard is based on.

More importantly, vcard.el converts hard-to-read raw vcards into
pretty-printed text.  Then you cannot feed this into bbdb-snarf-vcard
anymore.  It should be possible to hook bbdb-snarf-vcard into MUAs like
Gnus so that it processes the vcard MIME attachments to put them into
BBDB.  Probably this needs to be similar to how you are now using
vcard-pretty-print.
