I am afraid I can't quite remember why I included those options in the first place, although I've been carrying them over for some time without any apparent problems till yesterday. I think that I added them around the time preview LaTeX was merged into auctex, but unfortunately I can't remember what was the specific problem. Anyway, the exact configure command which caused the problem is the following:Artemio Gonzalez Lopez <address@hidden> writes:The problem is that I had --no-create and --no-recursion in my configure options. Re-running configure without these options solved the problem.Well, there probably was something you wanted to achieve with those settings. And it would probably be a good idea if we did not fail on unusual but possibly valid options. So if you explained in more detail what you were trying to achieve, on could see how much work it would be to get consistent results and whether that would be worth the trouble.
./configure --with-xemacs --with-packagedir=/Users/artemio/.xemacs/xemacs-packages --with-auto-dir=/Users/artemio/.xemacs/xemacs-packages/var/auctex --without-texmf-dir --no-create --no-recursion
Hope this helps, and Merry Christmas, Artemio
