automake-1.7.3: single test failure on NetBSD 1.6

A build of automake-1.7.3 on NetBSD 1.6 produced a single test failure:

FAIL: man2.test

What further info do you need from me to diagnose this?  Unlike autoconf,
there isn't a detailed testsuite.log file generate to verbosely record
the failing test(s).
