I just tested with current cvs (as of 2005.11.07 09:42 MET), and the bug
is not fixed. Some menus look good initially, but menus with nested submenus 
get wider each time they are opened. The popup menu on my imageviewer app
comes up with an initial size of 1293x335 pixels the first time (much too
wide), and starts getting wider from there...

Just run my testcase, open the menu, select an item from the nested submenu
and repeat. Fun to watch :-)
