I'd like to determine if FC6's gcj/libgcj package is the culprit. 
Unfortunately, although /usr/share/java indicates that libgcj is version 4.1.1,
I am unable to correlate this with a GNU classpath/libgcj version (e.g, 0.93)
-- and I've no clue as to  where libgcj resides within the FC6 core SRPMS
packages ("You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike"). 
Nevertheless, I'll pursue scouring through the FC6 source release.
