 No problem move it to an actively maintained project, although I'm in
 doubt that any non-linux system will use it -- the utils from
 util-linux/{misc-utils,text-utils} are nothing unique. It's based on
 old Berkeley Unix stuff.

 If you don't want to duplicate effort (scm, mailing list,
 build-system ...), you can also maintain the utils in util-linux-ng
 :-) It's very easy with distributed SCM.
