yes, he's a Gentoo dev and i'm following up on the issues. if gcc-4.2 is the
only gcc version that we can trigger, and with said CFLAGS, then we arent
going to worry about it in Gentoo anymore. if you remove any one of those
flags from CFLAGS, then the issue no longer triggers.
