I have a question about the warning output. Not really a bug, but wasn't
sure where else to ask.
After recently switching from the old util-linux fdisk to gnu-fdisk I get
this output when verifying my partition table...
Command (m for help): v
Warning: Partition 5 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 6 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 7 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 8 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 9 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 10 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Information: 440523902 unallocated sectors
Is there a way to eliminate these warnings without deleting and recreating
the partition table?
Someone suggested that using sfdisk -d to dump/reload the partition table
might fix it. But I tried that and it didn't help.
Thanks.
