Ah, now I understand. That makes sense. I hadn't realized that the 
gawkextlib extensions can come from anyone, not just the folks who 
provide gawk and on your end you're just making those extensions 
available. Given that, though, why not make the extensions that you ARE 
providing (like strptime()) part of the extensions that come with gawk 
since that'd be more convenient for users and you have to maintain them 
anyway and leave gawkextlib for the extensions you aren't 
providing/maintaining?
