I had to take a minute and tell you guys what a
difficult time I have had trying to get gdb installed.
I am running HP-UX 11.0.
gdb looks like it might be useful if I could ever
get it compiled.
I wasted something like 23 hours and then gave up
on it.
Most of the issue with the install was that I
needed the Ansi-C compiler, so I grabbed gcc, which also wouldn't install
correctly.
gcc comes up with an error at line 1190 every
single time, which is the spot where it tries to create files using the current
shell modules.
I tried several different version of gcc, gdb, and
a couple of your other programs and wasted a lot more time than I wish I
had.
Free software isn't free if you have to be a full
time programmer just to get it to install.
I could have ported the software that I needed
access over to DOS and been finished if I hadn't have bothered to download
gdb.
