When building motion with gettext-0.22, I get the following failure:
```
rm -f fi.gmo && /usr/bin/gmsgfmt -c --statistics --verbose -o fi.gmo fi.po
fi.po:3435: 'msgstr' is not a valid C format string, unlike 'msgid'. Reason:
In the directive number 1, the character 'l' is not a valid conversion
specifier.
/usr/bin/gmsgfmt: found 1 fatal error
fi.po: 989 translated messages.
make[3]: *** [Makefile:209: fi.gmo] Error 1
```
